Home Care Instructions for Post-Microblading Treatment
Day of Treatment
- 2–4 hours after treatment: Gently wipe the freshly tattooed area with a damp cotton pad or aftercare wipe to remove lymph and any previously applied cream. Always pat dry after wiping.
- Apply a very thin layer of ointment (similar to chapstick) using sanitized hands. Take about half a pea-sized amount, warm it between your fingertips, and apply gently.
- Repeat this process two more times throughout the day (a total of three times per day) to keep the area clean and prevent thick scabbing. Use only wiping motions—no scrubbing or rubbing.
Days 1–3
- Follow the same process as Day 1:
- Morning (after waking up)
- Midday
- Night (before bed)
Each time, wipe clean, pat dry, and apply a thin layer of ointment.
Days 4–7
- Apply a very thin layer of ointment with clean fingers:
- Oily skin: 1–3 times per day
- Dry skin: 3–4 times per day, or as needed
Healing Phase: Things to Avoid
During the first 7 days
- Water, sweat, and steam
- Avoid getting brows wet—try to keep water off your face in the shower. If they do get wet, pat dry immediately.
- Avoid excessive sweating (always pat dry with a paper towel if you sweat).
- No picking, scratching, or peeling
- No makeup or skincare products on healing brows
- No sleeping on your face
- No direct sun exposure
- No facials, massages, steaming, or sauna
After 7 Days: Long-Term Care for Best Results
- No special care or ointment is required after 7 days, but for optimal results and longevity of your tattoo, avoid the following directly on your brows:
- Sunscreen containing zinc
- Chemical peels
- Fruit acids
- Retinol products
- Microdermabrasion
- Creams with regeneration factors
- Laser treatments
- Hormonal therapy
Additional Notes
- Fading is normal and expected after the first session, especially for some skin types.
- Microblading is often a two-step process, so a touch-up appointment may be necessary for best results.
